2018 State of Black NOVA

Join us for the 2018 State of Black Northern Virginia. The State of Black Northern Virginia was created in 2012 under the leadership of Krysta Jones and the Virginia Leadership Institute and has brought together hundreds of area leaders to discuss issues such as economic development and voter education. This year’s event is being spearheaded by the Northern Virginia Coalition and the Northern Virginia Urban League Young Professionals Network (YPN).

This year's event will include:

• Criminal Justice Reform Panel Discussion
  
• Entrepreneurship and Business Development Panel Discussion
  
• Disparities and Inaccessibility in Healthcare Panel Discussion
  

The purpose of the State of Black Northern Virginia is to bring together area leaders to discuss challenges faced by NOVA’s black community and potential solutions to addressing these challenges.
