The importance of the 2017 Virginia elections cannot be overstated. It is clear that NOW is the time and it's more important than ever to be active, engaged and working for change!

Come join the Alfred Street Baptist Church’s (ASBC) Social Justice Ministry and the Northern Virginia Urban League Young Professional Network (YPN) for our 13th Annual Political Forum on Thursday, October 12, 2017, from 6:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m at Alfred Street Baptist Church in Alexandria.

A community and organization meet-and- greet reception will be held beginning at 6:30pm in the Multipurpose Room of ASBC. A light dinner will be served.

The purpose of the Forum is to:

1. Increase political awareness;
2. Inform attendees about candidates’ platforms and allow them to ask questions;
3. Increase voter engagement and turnout, and
4. Bring together a wide range of community leaders.

The historic Alfred Street Baptist Church and the Northern Virginia Urban League Young Professional Network are actively engaged in promoting the advancement of our citizens in theareas of Education, Economy, Equity, and Employment. The Church accomplishes this through its many ministries and YPN through its various community empowerment programs.
