On June 4, 2016 the Nu Xi Zeta H.A.V.E. Foundation, in partnership with the Northern Virginia Urban League, will host a "STEMs to Success" technology workshop for teens aged 13-19. The goal of this event is to help teens develop technology skills for college and beyond. It will consist of two 90-minute interactive workshops each with a takeaway for each youth. Teens can choose from the following topics; renewable energy, rocketry, robotics, as well as sessions on drones, computer networking, DSLR and traditional digital cameras presented by members of the Best Buy Geek Squad.
Volunteers will be needed from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. Duties will include hosting and serving lunch.
The program will take place at The Lee Center (1108 Jefferson St, Alexandria, VA 22314).
