In anticipation of its #BlackHistory365: Kwanzaa Everyday celebration tonight, members of the Northern Virginia Urban League Young Professionals Network (YPN) were interviewed by local NBC4 News. YPN President Garrett James and Historian Salim Adofo gave comments on the meaning of Kwanzaa and the significance of hosting the celebration at the Freedom House Museum (1315 Duke Street, Alexandria, VA 22314), a former market for enslaved Blacks.
